Review: Essano Rosehip Moisture Restorative night cream

Now that we are in the heart of winter I need a good moisturiser to stop my skin from getting dry. I usually switch routines in summer in winter and replace most of moisturisers.

Today I’m reviewing a somewhat locally made (from our friends across the Ocean, New Zealand) product that is organic, vegan and cruelty free.

$2OAUD for 50ml

It comes in jar packaging which isn’t ideal (It feels a little unhygienic to me, even though it’s not too bad), but it is a glass jar.

How it feels:

It’s quite thick when applied to the skin and has a very distinct smell to it. I really like the smell though, it’s pleasant and fresh. It is quite thick compared to a lot of other moisturisers but it does sink in and leaves my skin very dewey after 15 minutes or so. But it may be a little too thick for day use for those with oily skin.

Overall Impression:

I really love this moisturiser for winter. It doesn’t break me out (I’ve been using it for a month now) and leaves my skin feeling super nice in the morning. It also has a lot of beneficial ingredients to the skin, is cruelty free and organic. Below is a list of the main ingredients and why they’re beneficial to skin:

All in all, I would definitely recommend this product. I really like it and will continue to use it throughout winter.

Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Cetearyl Glucoside Butyrospermum Parkii(Shea Butter), Cetyl Alcohol, Coco-caprylate, Glyceryl Stearate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Stearyl Alcohol, Bentonite, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Benzyl Alcohol (and) Dehydroacetic Acid, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Oil, RosaCanina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil, tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Xanthan Gum, Fragrance, CyatheaMedullaris (Mamaku) Extract, Phormium Tenax (Harakeke) Extract, Lactic Acid, Potassium Sorbate.
